PAPER PRESNTATION: Networks, Markets & People International Symposium 2024

Seyed Alireza Seyedi, a PhD student in Land-use Planning, Management, and Design and a member of @ahu.lab, just presented their research at the Networks, Markets & People International Symposium 2024, promoted by the UNESCO MED LAB – Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria with ASTRI Scientific Association and the National Italian Committee of ICOMOFFIEL, in partnership with a qualified international network of academic institutions and scientific societies. 
Dr. Asma Mehan, Assistant Professor and Director of the AHULAB at Texas Tech University, leads this study, titled Sustainable Transition in Iran’s Oil Towns: A Focus on Masjed Soleyman. The study, presented in the session (TS01) Production Landscapes Through Energy Transition From 18th To The 20th Century: Tangible And Intangible Networks, explores the role of oil in the formation and development of Masjed Soleyman, the birthplace of Iran’s oil industry, and addresses post-oil issues by utilizing a strategy combining tangible and intangible oil heritage.
