Dr. Asma Mehan and Dr. Sina Mostafavi attended and presented their paper Spatial Justice in Design Research: A Transdisciplinary Discourse at the Design Research Society (DRS) conference in Boston, co-hosted by Northeastern University, MIT, and Harvard.

Their research on “Spatial justice and immersive mapping: an interdisciplinary approach” explored the critical intersections of art, architecture, and social justice, emphasizing the transformative power of immersive interfaces, community design development, and design computation and fabrication. They also featured TTU work exhibited in Venice Biennale 2023.

Their presentation was part of the session titled “PAPERS (Track 15): Spatial Justice in Design Research: A Transdisciplinary Discourse,” chaired by Miriam Tedeschi and Jules Rochielle Sievert.
