Art and Architecture of Woman, Life, Freedom Exhibition at the National Museum of World Cultures in Mexico City

28 August 2024

In solidarity with the Woman, Life, Freedom (WLF) movement, artists, architects, and urbanists have come together to use their creative tools to confront gender apartheid and envision liberatory futures. This powerful exhibit was held in conjunction with the Iranian Studies Biennial Conference in Mexico City from August 12-15, 2024.

The exhibited works are on display at the National Museum of World Cultures in downtown Mexico City, in the public lecture hall, for two months.

This exhibition was made possible through the dedication and contributions of the talented artists who generously shared their works, along with the efforts of our esteemed jurors: Asma Mehan, Ghazal Jafari, Iman Ganji, Shekoufeh Mohammadi, and Sholeh Shahrokhi. We also extend our gratitude to the Association for Iranian Studies, the staff of the National Museum of World Cultures, and the University of Colorado Boulder’s Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship, Department of Geography, and Center for Community-Engaged Design and Research for their support.
