Dr. Asma Mehan presented a paper and chaired a panel at the recent Petroc Cultures 2024 conference, which was held at the University of Southern California,uscedu, Los Angeles. This international conference took place from May 15th to 18th, 2024, and brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss the future of energy and its cultural implications. 
The panel, titled “After Oil: Re-envisioning a Post Fossil-Fuel Future and Industrial Heritage,” brought together a group of panelists, including Dr. Sina Mostafavi, Zachary Casey and Taraneh Meshkani. 
 
The panelists shared their insights on the challenges and opportunities presented by this transition, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing complex issues related to industrial heritage and sustainability.
