Sadaf Alikhani PhD student and Dr. Asma Mehan presented their research, "Heritage and Habitat: Analyzing the Impact of Vernacular Architecture on Modern Iranian Residences," at the 29th Interdisciplinary International Conference on the Environment (IICE) on November 2nd. Hosted by the Department of Design, College of Health & Human Sciences at Texas Tech University, the conference provided a platform for discussing how traditional architectural elements influence contemporary Iranian residential spaces, emphasizing sustainable design and cultural preservation.
