25 April 2023

On April 25, 2023, Dr. Mehan delivered an invited talk titled “Research Philosophy in Architectural Humanities and Critical Urban Studies” as part of the Seminar on Architectural Research for PhD candidates at the College of Architecture, Texas Tech University (TTU). The session focused on bridging theoretical frameworks with practical methodologies in architectural research, fostering critical thinking among emerging scholars. During the talk, Dr. Mehan emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in addressing pressing urban and architectural challenges. By highlighting examples from my research, Dr. Mehan encouraged PhD candidates to critically engage with issues like urban resilience, placemaking, and cultural heritage within their scholarly inquiries.

As part of the Seminar on Architectural Research for PhD candidates (invited by Prof. Hazem Rashid-Ali), College of Architecture (CoA), Texas Tech University (TTU), 25 April 2023, Lubbock.
